Star Inn The City - Riverside Restaurant, York

This group of historic buildings on York's riverside comprising a scheduled Ancient Monument and Grade I Listed Building (14th Century Lendal Tower), and two Grade II Listed Buildings (18th Century Lendal Hill House and 19th Century York Waterworks Co Engine House) have been restored, flood protected and converted to new uses.

The Phase 1 works are complete and the Tower and Lendal Hill House now provide self-contained holiday accommodation around a private riverside garden. The recent completion of Phase 2 sees the Engine House extended with the addition of a glazed dining room and a flood protected terrace to provide restaurant accommodation for The Star Inn the City, which overlooks the river and the Scheduled Museum Gardens.
