Merchant Exchange - Mixed Use, York

The redevelopment of a derelict site and dilapidated listed warehouse on York's riverside to provide office, restaurant and residential accommodation.

Complex archaeological, flooding, planning and conservation constraints meant that the site had remained derelict for over three decades. Through imaginative design CSP were able to reconcile these issues with commercial necessities to create an attractive mixed-use development in the heart of the City.

The project is commercially successful. It revitalises a run-down part of the City and received the Lord Mayor's Award for Good Design.
