Press Association, Offices, Howden

36,000 ft² of highly serviced offices were successfully integrated into the historic centre of Howden to provide the Press Association with their new northern HQ.

Redeveloping the Press Association's existing site meant that the project had to be designed and managed so that their operations were not interrupted.

Ancillary spaces were separated out so that large uninterrupted and flexible open-plan office space could be provided. These ancillary spaces were then located in projecting wings on the curving south facing street frontage to create an environmental buffer zone and to reduce the visual bulk of the building.

The project was delivered on programme and within budget and received a Certificate of Distinction for the Enhancement of the Built Heritage of East Yorkshire'.
